Why five

Most of what makes a Nordic journey memorable cannot be scheduled. The aurora arrives when the sky decides. The light that makes Lofoten worth photographing lasts twenty minutes. A road closes, a storm turns, and the plan you spent a month on is worth nothing by breakfast. We take five journeys a month because that is the number at which we can throw the plan away. When the weather turns, an operator running forty trips has to keep its coaches moving on schedule. We have the room to drive three hours toward the one clear patch of sky. Over twenty-five years of guiding, the days that went wrong have produced more of the memories our guests still talk about than the days that went exactly to plan. Enquire About Availability

Northern Lights

Midnight Sun Golf

Tee times at one in the morning in June and July, on courses in northern Iceland and above the Arctic Circle in Norway and Sweden.

Silvía Rut Ástvaldsdóttir

Co-Founder · Client Relations & Itinerary Design Silvía started in tourism at fourteen, in a hotel in the Eastfjords of Iceland. Twelve years in Scandinavia later, Copenhagen first and then Malmö and the Skåne countryside, she designs the journeys and looks after the people travelling on them. It is the difference between selling Sweden and living in it.

Halldór Haraldsson

Co-Founder · Operations & Route Design Halldór started guiding Iceland in 2001, after more than a thousand days driving in Reykjavík. He has spent every season since somewhere between Reykjanes and the Eastfjords, and has been chasing the aurora professionally since 2014.

The first draft

Iceland

New on the north coast

Two properties change the north-coast picture. Höfði Lodge in Grenivík (hofdilodge.com; around 40 rooms; built as a heli-ski base on Eyjafjörður) is targeted to open in autumn 2026 under new ownership, per Iceland Review, 2026-02-16. The opening is a target, not a fact on the ground, and we treat the lodge as bookable only when it takes confirmed reservations. Skáld Hotel Akureyri, Curio Collection by Hilton, opened 2026-08-01 with 86 rooms in central Akureyri. Greenland

Day 1–2 Kangerlussuaq & Arrival Arctic airport, caribou on the tundra, first night at the edge of the ice sheet. Day 3–4 Ilulissat UNESCO Icefjord walk at midnight sun, kayaking between icebergs, town immersion. Day 5–6 Dog Sled or Boat Ice fjord boat safari among cathedral icebergs, or dog sled on sea ice (season dependent). The Full Greenland
