Why the Nordics

Your top performers have done the Maldives. They have done Scottsdale. What they have not done is play golf at 1 AM under the midnight sun, stand on a fjord at 69 degrees north with nobody else around, or dine privately in a restored fisherman's cabin on the Lofoten Islands. Nordic incentive travel is not mainstream yet, and that is most of its value. A programme here is still unfamiliar to the people you are rewarding, which is harder to buy than a better hotel.

Programme formats

Executive retreat

3-5 days. C-suite offsites combining strategy sessions with extraordinary Nordic experiences. Private lodges and private chefs, in places where nothing else is competing for attention.

Incentive reward

4-7 days. Top-performer reward trips across Iceland, Norway, Sweden, or Finland. Midnight golf, Northern Lights, glacier expeditions, whale watching.

Team building

3-5 days. Arctic wilderness challenges, fjord kayaking, traditional Nordic cooking classes, midnight hiking.

Partner and client events

Custom duration. Impress key clients or partners with experiences they cannot book themselves. Private access, and itineraries built for the group.

What is included

Every programme is built from scratch by Halldór and Silvía, our co-founders, both Icelandic. We handle the logistics across the Nordic countries. Iceland is our own ground, and beyond it we work through a vetted partner network: accommodation, transfers, guides, activities, dining, emergency support. We work on direct booking or through your preferred travel management company.

What corporate planners ask What is included in an Unforgettable Nordic corporate programme? + Every element handled end-to-end by Halldór and Silvía personally: accommodation at private lodges, transfers, guides, activities, dining, emergency support, dedicated WhatsApp concierge throughout the trip, and post-trip follow-up. Programmes typically include strategy-session venues, team experiences (kayaking, midnight golf, sled expeditions), private dining with regional chefs, and curated downtime. How far in advance should we book a corporate programme? + Six to nine months ahead for peak summer (June-July midnight sun) and December-February (aurora season). Three to four months minimum for shoulder seasons. Northern Lights, Midnight Golf, and Corporate Retreat dates compete for the same five-trips-per-month capacity. Booking early secures your preferred window. Can you handle international logistics for executives across multiple time zones? + Yes. Many of our corporate clients fly executives in from US, EMEA, and APAC simultaneously. We coordinate ground transport, charter flights between Nordic countries when needed, and stage arrival times around regional connectivity. Visa support, travel documentation, and emergency repatriation contingencies are part of the standard programme. Which season works best for a Nordic corporate retreat? + June-August: midnight sun, mild weather, outdoor experiences, midnight-sun golf in the Arctic North, fjord activities. December-February: aurora viewing, ICEHOTEL stays, dog sledding, true Arctic experiences with shorter daylight. May and September are excellent shoulder seasons with fewer tourists and dramatic light. We can deliver corporate programmes year-round in all Nordic destinations. What experiences do you offer that hotel-group corporate planners cannot? + Direct supplier relationships built since 2001. Private access to courses, lodges, and guides who would not accept a hotel-group booking. Examples: private midnight tee times at Akureyri Golf Club, exclusive use of remote wilderness lodges in Lyngen Alps, private Sámi family visits, helicopter transfers between Lofoten venues, geothermal river bathing in restricted areas. The relationship-based access is the actual product. Do you accommodate visa, dietary, and accessibility requirements? + Yes. Visa documentation handled in advance. Dietary requirements (kosher, halal, vegan, allergy-specific) communicated to every supplier with pre-trip confirmation. Accessibility planning includes wheelchair-friendly accommodations, mobility-adapted experiences, and medical-needs coordination with on-call English-speaking medical contacts in each destination. Can your corporate programmes integrate strategy sessions or team building exercises? + Yes. Many programmes split between formal sessions in private lodge meeting rooms and shared experiential time. We coordinate facilitator logistics, AV requirements, and confidential meeting environments. Team-building experiences are designed around regional landscape rather than off-the-shelf exercises: fjord kayaking, glacier expeditions, traditional Nordic cooking classes, midnight hiking.
