Why June and July

The window

The midnight-sun window in the high Arctic is narrow. The sun does not set between late May and late July. The peak week in 2027 falls around the summer solstice, 20–21 June. Horizontal sun angle through the night softens shadows and gives the fairway a quality you do not get further south. Our journeys place clients on the best courses inside that window, with tee times after ten in the evening. The season compresses quickly. Solstice-week capacity is usually claimed six to nine months out. We take five Nordic journeys per month across all product lines, and most summer months are booked by mid-Q1.

Akureyri Golf Club

ICELAND · 65.68°N Akureyri sits at 65.68°N, just south of the Arctic Circle. The sun dips briefly below the horizon, but there is no true darkness from mid-May to late July. Perched above Eyjafjörður, with the fjord on one side and the mountain on the other.

Lofoten Links

NORWAY · 68.26°N Golf Digest placed it 24th in its World's 100 Greatest Golf Courses for 2024 to 2025. Seven holes play along the North Atlantic. You can tee off at eleven at night in full daylight.

Björkliden & Tromsø

SWEDEN / NORWAY · 68–69°N Tromsø is the world’s northernmost 18-hole course. Björkliden is a nine-hole mountain course at 68°N, close to the Arctic Circle. Private tee times arranged on request.

Private access

We play before the public tee sheet opens, so there are no tournament crowds and no queue on the tee. A caddie and a clubhouse that knows your name.

Designed by the founders

Every itinerary is drafted by Halldór or Silvía personally. The first reply to any enquiry comes from a founder within 24 hours. Ten p.m. tee times The sun is at its most horizontal between ten in the evening and two in the morning. We build tee times, meals and transfers around that window, not around a morning clubhouse schedule.
